1. Modern Waterfront Treehouse

Location: Equality, Alabama
Price: $293
Book on VRBO
Eclectic, modern, fun, and quirky. These are the words to best describe this stunning treehouse in Equality. First of all, it’s located on the waterfront of Lake Martin. Its location itself is a major feature you’ll love to have in a treehouse rental you'd love to book for a weekend with family or your group of friends.
Secondly, it has lots of fun features such as a mini Pacman arcade game, a basketball hoop in the living room, colorful decor and details, board games, and a wraparound deck that gives you breathtaking views of the lake.
This Alabama treehouse rental features 2 bedrooms, and 1 full bathroom, and sleeps 5, just perfect for a small family or close group of friends. Aside from being on Lake Martin, it’s also a stone’s throw away from the Wind Creek State Park and only minutes from the center of Equality, where you can get supplies and modern amenities to complete your stay in comfort.
2. Coyote’s Treehouse
(Photo from VRBO)
Location: Albertville, Alabama
Price: $209
Book on VRBO
If the Modern Waterfront Treehouse has all the modern comforts you need, Coyote’s Treehouse is a little bit on the adventurous side. Its location is also something to talk about, set on the end of the road, secluded, isolated, and therefore, extremely private that its windows don’t have curtains, but you’ll still feel absolutely safe and private.
It’s a basic treehouse with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a hot tub on the yard facing a creek, a small deck with a BBQ grill, and an outside shower. There’s a kitchenette for basic heating and a small fridge to keep food, but that’s it. It sleeps 2, and kids and pets are prohibited, making it a strictly adults-only treehouse rental in a secluded area.
There's another treehouse rental on the property and the owner also lives here, with their house only 400 feet away, so if you need anything, they’ll be there to assist or accommodate your needs.
The Sand Mountain Park is a short 12-minute drive away while the Jules J. Berta Vineyards is 14 minutes away, so it’s not entirely remote. You’ll still be near attractions and modern amenities, you just need to drive a few minutes to get there.
3. Hawk’s Nest Treehouse
(Photo from VRBO)
Location: Albertville, Alabama
Price: $209
Book on VRBO
Hawk’s Nest Treehouse is the other treehouse located on the same property as Coyote’s Treehouse and this one is a little different. It features one bedroom with a cozy queen bed inside, a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, coffee-making facilities, and microwave oven.
It also has a beautiful small deck with outdoor seating and a private hot tub on the lower deck. There’s a bathroom in this treehouse but it’s outside, though attached to the structure. You don’t have to step out of the treehouse per se, as it’s simply reachable from the front door. It houses a shower and a composting toilet.
Other features include air conditioning, a BBQ grill on the deck, and glass windows. It’s located only 150 feet away from Coyote’s Treehouse, so it’s a little distant, but you still get to enjoy your own private space on the property.
Though the treehouse is secluded and found at the end of the road, it’s not too far away that getting food becomes a problem. McDonald’s and Domino’s Pizza are only a 10-minute drive away, so it still offers modern conveniences while giving you a remote getaway experience. It’s also for adults only, with no kids and pets allowed.
4. Birmingham Treehouse

It is located in the walkable buzzing neighborhood of Five Points South, where hip and happening restaurants and shops are found within walking distance from the hotel.
Guests can choose to book one of 6 rooms available for guests or the whole house can also be booked for an exclusive stay for an entire family or group. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with plenty of trees outside, and it’s a renovated 1898 Victorian home that has become e creative haven for the arts community in Birmingham.
Each room offers a unique theme and is decorated differently from each other, each showing a unique concept, from a timeless aesthetic to a room that looks like a teenage girl decorated it.
It’s a fun hotel to stay in with a big yoga culture as yoga classes are done every morning, as well as having a laid-back community vibe where locals from the art scene converge. However, guests don’t need to worry as it still offers a relaxing and peaceful stay as only checked-in guests can stay in the exclusive rooms and shared facilities.
5. The Treehouse, a Downtown Auburn Cottage
Location: Auburn, Alabama
Price: $225

It has one room, one bathroom, and sleeps 6. There is a main bedroom with a queen-size bed but a loft accessible through the living room also has a mattress, and the living room also features a sleeper sofa so a small family or group of friends can stay here.
Other features include a kitchen, a small porch, a laundry area, a working space, heating and air conditioning, and kids and pets are allowed to stay here.
